OGOJA IDEAS HOLD INAUGURAL MEETING.

Ogoja Ideas, a non partisan group hold her inaugural meeting on 28TH April 2018 at Gakuna Hotel Ogoja Northern district of Cross River State. A meeting that had in attendance 24 personalities drawn form the 5 LGAs of the Northern Cross River. A meeting convene by Hon. ERIC KANJAL, an Abuja based politician and businessman, Presided by Mr. MIKE UDAM, and Secretary by Engr. MAURICEMOORE MBOM. Also in attendance was Mr. ATARRY UGAH, MR. CORNELIUS UKANG, SIMON AKOLI, MR. MASHOK , Miss AGATHA KANJAL, ENGR. EYEH PETERS to mention but a few. Highlight of the meeting was: 1. The Nomination of Mr. MIKE UDAM to head the affairs of the 5 Northern LGAs meetings with the support of a team. 2. Inauguration of representatives across the 5 LGAs of the Northern Cross River to pilot affair of the group (#OGOJAIDEAS). 3. The lunching or building of a web address (www.ogojaideas.com), blog (www.ogojaideas.blogspot.com) running already, social media (www.facebook.com/ogojaideas) running already and a WHATSAPP (08168192128) and twitter handle (@ogojaideas. 4. A call for a colloquium (town-hall meeting) for all ogoja (5LGAs) sons, top investors/businessmen and the political class. 5. deliberations on the theme of the TOWN-HALL MEETING. some of the suggested topics for the meeting were: OGOJA COME HOME, DISCOVERING OUR POTENTIALS, RE-BRANDING OGOJA. With reference from the group name "IDEAS" The house unanimously agreed that the colloquium shall discuss on the first letter I=INVESTMENT. which would involved bringing investor to explore the rich mineral deposits in the Northern Cross River (OGOJA) and her high YAM, CASSAVA and GROUNDNUT production in the Agricultural Sector of the Northern economy, by building factories to brand the afo-mention Agricultural product in Ogoja. 5. Power which is a big challenge in the area was given an update, on the 12KVA POWER station current being build by the government in Igoli in Ogoja LGA, even if the house did not consider the challenge as there were other alternative means of actualizing the goal to of the house (OGOJA IDEAS) through the green power technology that is soon to be inaugurated by the federal government. In the spirit of success, members of the group gave positive analysis, on the the following area of actualizing the dreams. whereas, the Northern Cross River is blessed with mounting and it contents(minerals), vast land mass, rich agricultural soil, peace loving people, strong man power, rich tourism sector, to mention but a few, agreed that the meeting if properly planed will anticipate growth and development in the area. The meeting came to a closed for that day to re-open on an agreed date.
